PROCESSED FOODS v FRESH. How can you convince yourself to become healthy if the food you are offered comes directly from a pre-processed packet made from refined foods and products. We offer only the freshest fruit and vegetables from the markets as well as carefully aged organically certified meats cooked to a minimum to retain as many of the essential vitamins, nutrients and minerals needed to help you survive todays fast paced world.
Processing comes in different forms, like pasteurisation, it uses excessive heat to kill off germs to help it last longer, but it also kills many of the essential enzymes and vitamins and it chemically changes the make up of some proteins. Then a once natural product becomes harder to digest and no longer beneficial for our system.
FRESH Fresh foods contain more vitamins, minerals and nutrients without the need for additives. Why do you think a fresh apple has more flavour and tastes better than a tinned apple? If you take out the added sugars and salts your processed food does not taste so good does it, but, they were all there naturally before being tampered with, it makes you think doesnt it. We use foods that are whole and natural, not processed and refined. Whole and natural foods also taste better, and they naturally help to cut down on things we do not need like sodium (salt), cholesterol, and fatty acids.
BALANCED Balanced for us not only means a well constructed menu, but it also means you are not getting too many things your body can not easily break down. If you can assist your bodies metabolism by eating foods that complement each other and does not force your metabolism to work overtime to break poorly combined foods down, then you will retain more energy. So, a healthy body needs good maintenance program from a good balance of nutrients (carbohydrates, protein, and yes fats).
